Code Enforcement

The position of Code Enforcement Officer was created to alleviate some of the pressure on certified law enforcement, allowing them to devote their attention to matters of traffic, misdemeanor, and felony criminal activity.

Our Code Enforcement Officers are responsible for locating and identifying violations of the City of Fort Morgan Charter and Municipal Code within the City limits. The duties include enforcement of animal control, parking control, weed and snow removal, nuisance violations, watering violations and other Code violations.

These officers are commissioned to issue citations for these types of offenses. There are currently two Code Enforcement Officers for the City of Fort Morgan; they are under the direct supervision of the Support Services Lieutenant.

Visit our Code Enforcement page to learn more about the various ordinances which they help enforce.
